Basic Static and Dynamic Analysis Spring 2023

This week we will start our block on reverse engineering and malware analysis. We will cover common tools and techniques used by malware and those analyzing the malware. We will then have lab time to experiment with the tools and analyze live malware.

Requirements

Some of the labs will require a Windows 7 or XP VM. You can download an OVA for an XP VM with all the needed tools at https://aub.ie/re-vm (VMWare) or https://aub.ie/re-vm-vb (VirtualBox).
